ACL Fest Reveals 2014 Lineup

The 2014 ACL Fest lineup feels similar to other mega-festivals this year

The 2014 Austin City Limits Festival has officially been announced, and has a similar roster akin to other festival lineups this year. It doesn’t quite ring my bell this time around, but I’ve felt a little meh on most festival lineups this year.

Headliners include Eminem, Beck, Pearl Jam, Outkast, and Skrillex. other artists of note include Lana Del Ray, Lorde (who’ll only be playing the second weekend of the fest), Interpol, CHVRCHES, Spoon, Broken Bells, Jimmy Cliff, Phantogram, Temples, and the Replacements.

And while I’d love to see the ‘Mats and CHVRCHES, the overall lineup pales in comparison (IMHO) to last year’s stellar lineup with headliners like The Cure, Depeche Mode, QOTSA and Muse.

But I know lots of folks are mighty excited, and if you find yourself in that category, get your ass in gear and tickets before they sell out.

  1. Meh. It would take some spectacular musicians (multiple) to get me downtown for that. The Replacements are exciting but nothing else really “bakes my cookies”. I’m starting to wonder if I’m just getting old….

    • If I was ever gonna go it would’ve been last year. I’m not a big festival person…hopefully the Replacements will do a solo tour at some point!
