Watch Tidalwave Video Premiere For New Single ‘1992’: alt-rockers recall vintage grunge on new single from EP coming later this year.
Alt-rock power trio Tidalwave are premiering their video for their new track ‘1992’ today, and you watch the clip below.
The track (their first since 2015’s Find Myself), sees the band continue their muscular attack on heavy alternative rock with a vintage flavor (think Deftones, Local H, and Placebo), perfectly encapsulated by its title.
The new song is the title track off the band’s forthcoming EP, due sometime this spring. The record marks a milestone, being the group’s first release since relocating to Berlin, Germany from Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015.
Frontman Dean Tidalwave notes that “1992 came to me during my first night in Germany. I had just moved halfway across the world and was facing the challenge of starting all over “
‘1992’ is taut and grooving, showing an even more syncopated attack than on previous efforts, with the video showing an appropriately 90’s esque no-frills performance.
The ‘1992’ EP will be available through all digital outlets, with hard copies sold at performance gigs later this year.
