Watch: New Nine Inch Nails ‘Came Back Haunted’ Video Directed by David Lynch
As hinted at in RollingStone.com last week, Nine Inch Nails have released the official video for Came Back Haunted, the first single from their forthcoming album Hesitation Marks.

David Lynch directed the piece, and marks Lynch and Reznor’s first collaboration together since they worked together on the Lost Highway soundtrack in 1997.
And the video comes with a warning, but not because of explicit content like the NSFW Broken video. Nope it’s for people who suffer from seizures to avoid watching, as it’s full of strobe light flashes and jittery cam blurriness. So proceed at your own risk. I’ve warned you. If you’re up for it, check out the clip:
My initial thoughts are; pretty cool, yet nothing exactly mind-blowing. But hey it’s Nine Inch Nails and David Lynch, so that kinda makes it cool by default, right? It certainly has a feverish, trance-y quality to it that fits the nature of the song.
Nine Inch Nails has been in a flurry of activity and discord. No sooner did they release tour dates and album release info, then the news came that both bassist Eric Avery, and guitarist Adrian Belew were quitting the band before their North American tour.
Regardless NIN has always been Trent Reznor’s baby, and he seems to be reinvigorated. Regarding the lineup shakeups, he said in a recent Radio.com interview: you can spend a lot of time hypothesizing , imagining and projecting what it’s gonna be with this chemistry and this recipe of people in a room playing music, and in reality it rarely is that.
Hesitation Marks will be released September 3rd on Columbia Records. Click here for track info listing, and click here for full tour dates.
