Stream The Prodigy’s New Album ‘The Day Is My Enemy’: band is streaming aggressive new release on iTunes Radio.
Techno titans The Prodigy will be releasing their new album The Day is My Enemy on March 30th. The band is giving fans a free preview of the material all this week via iTunes radio.

This will be the group’s first release since 2009’s Invaders Must Die, and from first listen this feels like a more cohesive affair, even if it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel. But fans of their breakthrough album The Fat of The Land should be pretty happy.
It will be interesting to see where Prodigy’s new release stands alongside the recent rise of EDM music. But the group’s aggressive sound and rock leanings make it much ballsier than most latter-day electronic releases.
Band mastermind Liam Howlett said as much in a January interview with the London Evening Standard:
[box]”If the dance scene is made up of DJs, that don’t bother us. We’re in different zones to them. We don’t make music like those kind of acts. We view ourselves as in our own kind of area. We’re fans of some people out there, but when you’ve got a scene built on DJs, that’s not healthy. We need more bands that make this kind of music.”[/box]
So breakout those glow sticks and give The Day Is My Enemy a listen, and give us your thoughts in the comments. I’ll have a full review up later this week.

In the meantime, check out their stop motion animation video for Wild Frontier, which is pretty killer.
