Stream New Soundgarden Album ‘King Animal’ Before its Release

Stream New Soundgarden Album ‘King Animal’ For Free Before it’s Nov 13th release…

Attention Soundgarden fans; if you’re craving to hear their new album ‘King Animal‘ (their first new release in 16 years) before it drops next Tuesday, you’re in luck.

As MetalSucks reported, iTunes is letting fans stream the album in it’s entirety for free through next Monday.

I’ve listened to it several times in a row now, and like all prior Soundgarden albums, it’ll take a few listens to soak in. Their mid-tempo off-kilter style was never immediately accessible. But it sure as hell is a step up for Chris Cornell after the wretched ‘Scream‘. Yeesh.

My first impressions are that this band has mellowed with age. It is not as heavily rocking as albums past. And of course it has a lot of high expectations, which always makes re-entry tricky.

So sit back and take a few listens and see what you think and then check out my full review.

Here’s the iTunes link.

Soundgarden has also announced their U.S. Tour dates for 2013, which you can check out via L.A. Music Blog.

And check out their new music video for their single “Been Away Too Long“.

If you like what you hear after the preview stream, you can pre-order ‘King Animal’ on iTunes or Amazon by clicking on the separate links below. The album will be released November 13th.
