Let’s begin.

STAR WARS STUFF:

Star Wars: Steelbook Editions

With The Force Awakens just a few weeks away, there are plenty of SW related titles on hand, including these reissues. All six films are featured in new steelbook editions. Note: they STILL contain those pesky CGI add-ons, and all come with commentary from cast and crew.

And yes, the prequels are also getting the steelbook treatment, but I can’t bear myself to recumbent them. But click here if you must.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blu-ray]

Or just get this mega-set with all 6 films with assorted extras and commentaries.

Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection

And for Jedi’s short on shelf space, here’s the digital edition of the entire film series, which includes 9 hours of bonus features, several of which are exclusive to the digital version.

DOCUMENTARIES:

Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau (Blu-ray + DVD + CD)

The craziest documentary I’ve ever seen about making a movie, and that’s saying something. For why this film about the disastrous The Island of Dr Moreau remake is so good, check out my review. But I’ll just say it is absolutely hilarious and infuriating all at once. But when a filmmaker casts Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer in the same film, it was a doomed battle of egos from the start.
