Prong Announce Release Details For New Album ‘Zero Days’

Prong Announce Release Details For New Album ‘Zero Days’: pioneering metal band’s latest album due next month.

Veteran metallers Prong have been on a prolific tear of creativity the past few years, between 2012’s Carved in Stone, 2014’s Ruining Lives, the 2015 covers album Songs From The Black Hole and last year’s X-No Absolutes–one of their best efforts to date.

And the band show no signs of slowing down: the group, led by vocalist/guitarist and band founder Tommy Victor will return with Zero Days, their latest album, due for release on July 28, 2017 via Steamhammer/SPV available as CD digipak, 2 LP gatefold, download and stream.

The album, produced by Victor and longtime collaborator Chris Collier continues the group’s mix of groove, thrash and industrial metal and Victor’s introspective lyrics.

Victor discussed the creative process behind the new album in the group’s press release, stating:

“I must say a lot of effort was put into this new “Zero Days” recording. From the minute I would get off tour, I would consolidate ideas from the road and form new ones. Again the focus was on creating good songs. We wanted this record to be modern as well as holding justice to all the previous releases. Again and maybe even more than normally I went crazy meticulous with the lyrics. I had built up a lot to say and I wanted to articulate them in the most intelligent way possible.I firmly believe the mission was accomplished all around. We are really pleased with the performances on this record, as well. It’s a solid outing. We have the anthems, the bangers, the thrashers, the grooves, everything that makes up a PRONG record. It’s definitely a record to listen to start to finish!!”

In addition to Victor, the current band lineup features returning drummer Art Cruz and new bassist Mike Longworth.
