PiL returns with new album in May

PiL returns with New Album in May.

John Lydon’s post punk band P.I.L. (Public Image Limited) will release their new album ‘This is Pil’ on May 28th, their first release since 1992’s ‘That What Is Not’. While his earlier act ‘The Sex Pistols’ retain more historical cache, P.I.L were very ahead of their time, blending elements of dub reggae, proto-echoey guitar that would influence the Edge of U2 along with many Goth rock acts, and electronic dance music which would reverberate in both new wave and industrial music.

Lydon sat down with The Quietus and discussed the track listing for the new album.

And Slicing Up Eyeballs posted a preview for “One Drop” the albums 1st single. This can also be found on their recently released EP, which was released last week for  Record Store Day on vinyl along with 4 other tracks.
