Listen to New Queens of The Stone Age Song: ‘My God Is The Sun’, off forthcoming album ‘Like Clockwork’
As promised, Queens Of The Stone Age have released the new single for their upcoming album ‘Like Clockwork.’ They previewed it last week at Lollapalooza Brazil. And Eddie Vedder played cowbell at Lollapalooza Chile!

But now we have the properly recorded version. Check out the YouTube clip below while gazing at that cool album cover (shades of Songs For The Deaf?):
My first reaction? Solid, if not spectacular QOTSA. This seems like a bone to tide hardcore fans over, but I’m hoping the full length reaches new sonic territory, and pushes the weird meter that Josh Homme and co. do so well. It should for God’s sake, the album features a TON of quirky collaborators, including Trent Reznor, Elton John, Jake Sheers (Scissor Sisters), and Alex Turner (Arctic Moneys.)
In addition, Dave Grohl has returned for drummer duties (just in the studio, live duties will be handled by Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore) as has longtime collaborator Mark Lanegan, and even spurned ex-bassist Nick Oliveri plays on a few tracks.
Demand for this is high, heightened even more so by their appearance on the 2013 U.S. Lollapalooza bill in August.
So take a listen to ‘My God Is The Sun‘ and tell us your take?
