Listen to new Failure song ‘Come Crashing’; unsung alternative band releases their first new song in 18 years.
I recently interviewed Failure frontman Ken Andrews (click here to read), and he hinted that the band would be playing some new material on their summer reunion tour.
And now Alternative Nation has broke the news that the band have released ‘Come Crashing’, their first new song since 1996, via Bandcamp which you can preview and purchase below.
‘Come Crashing’ will also be included on ‘Tree Of Stars’, an exclusive EP fans can buy at the reunion shows, which will also include live versions of past Failure tracks “Let It Drip,” “Frogs,” Sergeant Politeness” and “Heliotropic.”
On first listen it’s clear that the band’s chemistry is truly rekindled. It blends all their disparate elements, wistful power-pop, some edgy arpeggios and tight rhythmic arrangements.
Andrews mentioned that the band will be putting out a full length comeback album in early 2015, but no word if ‘Come Crashing’ will be included. It’s always nice to see a criminally underrated band get a second lease on life, and it’s clear Failure are taking full advantage of their comeback status.
So take a listen and let us know what you think of ‘Come Crashing’? Are you as jazzed about the new material as we are? Tell us in the comments.
