I have to say it’s one of the oddest, and kinda meh lineups I’ve seen from the festival.
Perhaps it’s just my age, but I don’t know half the bands on it, and the ones I do aren’t enough of a draw to get me there. The Chromatics are cool, same with Glass Candy, but not enough to really get me jazzed.
I don’t know how metal fans will feel about only half of the original Slayer lineup playing the fest?
I do have some nostalgic regard for Ice-T and his band Body Count. And Television are certainly an excellent band. Johnny Marr and Quicksand are nothing to sneeze at either.
Maybe I was just so wowed by this year’s ACL Fest that this one left me a bit cold.
But I’m sure there are lots of hipsters, and music fans who’ll have a good time. My opinion doesn’t mean jack shit.

Lineup did not do much for me either. When I lived in Chicago we had Q101 Jamboree. It was an all day show with tons of bands. 1995 and 1996 were the best.
1995
Bush
Collective Soul
Sheryl Crow
Duran Duran
Faith No More
The Flaming Lips
KMFDM
The Lupins
Phunk Junkeez
Sponge
The Stone Roses
1996-
No Doubt
Seven Mary Three
Cracker
Korn
Candlebox
Everclear
Foo Fighters
Cypress Hill
Stabbing Westward
Garbage
Girls Against Boys
Afghan Whigs
Filter
Wow those are some good lineups! Faith No More and Afghan Whigs are 2 of my faves and so good live.
Last year we went to Riot Fest in Chicago and saw Jesus and Mary Chain and the Stooges. It was awesome.
