Faith No More Working On New Music; band teases possible new album via their official Twitter page.
It’s been a Mike Patton kind of week; on Monday, the talented vocalist was crowned the greatest singer of all time (replacing Axl Rose who won the title a week prior) by ConcertHotels. But that appears to be merely a teaser for fans of all things Patton, including his influential alternative out Faith No More.
On Friday, the band’s official Twitter page left a cryptic but potentially exciting announcement; ““The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative.” It also included a picture of Patton mugging for the camera. So, in other words, we may be getting the first new material from the band since 1997. This is red meat for fans who have been clamoring for new material from the band. The fact that the tweet is from the band’s brand new twitter account gives even further cause to believe this could be the real thing; sorry.

Faith No More reunited in 2009, and played a world tour but with only a scant few American dates, so it would be truly great to see a proper U.S. tour if the band does indeed deliver on a new album (or at least some new songs).
This announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that the band will be playing Hyde Park on July 4th alongside co-headliners Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and Soundgarden.
Furthermore, lovers of all things Patton have the additional potentially exciting news that Mr. Bungle may be reuniting as well. As a longtime FNM fan, this has me super excited. How about you? Tell me in the comments.I’ll be keeping track of all things Faith No More for further developments.
