Faith No More Tweet Suggests Big Plans For 2015: Buzz gets bigger for FNM’s future plans.
It’s been an exciting few months for Faith No More fans; the band headlined this year’s Hyde Park Festival, debuting two songs.
And it was announced this week that FNM would be headlining Australia’s Soundwave festival in 2015, alongside Soundgarden, and Slipknot. Click here for the full lineup.
But what’s most intriguing, is a tweet sent August 19th on the band’s official Twitter page:
The Reunion Tour is over; in 2015 things are going to change.
— Faith No More (@FaithNoMore) August 19, 2014
So what does it all mean? Well, Faith No More aren’t a band to mince words. Singer Mike Patton had cast doubt that the reunion would last in an article last year. So rather than take this Tweet as a sign of instability, odds are better that the band have something different in mind.
With 2 new songs under their belt, it looks like a new album is on its way, and that the band will be treated less like a legacy act, and more like a project with a new artistic future ahead of it.
So, will they have a new album out in 2015 (or sooner)? Will they expand upon these festival appearances and do an extensive headlining tour? And most importantly for those of us Americans; will they finally do a damn American tour that extends past a scant few gigs? Yes, the band was always more popular abroad, but I and many other FNM diehards are DYING to see these guys live.
They’re one of the best live acts in the business, and it’s criminal to think the last time I’ll ever see these guys was back in 1997.

Regardless, this is fantastic news for FNM fans. New music, a renewed purpose, and mended artistic fences. One could get greedy and hope that Jim Martin plays a part at some point, but don’t hold your breath.
