Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup Announced

The  2013 lineup for Bonnaroo, the annual music festival has been announced. It looks a typically diverse, all-encompassing bill for the summer music festival held in Manchester, Tennessee.

Some of the headliners include Paul McCartney and Tom Petty , recent Grammy winners Mumford and Sons, Bjork, The XX and comedian Daniel Tosh.

Other acts that caught my eye include 80’s rock icon Billy Idol, ZZ Top, metal band Baroness, and Swans (whose album ‘The Seer‘ topped out best albums of 2012).

Wu-Tang Clan will be reuniting for the event as well. Other performers that will get some indie rockers (but not me) excited include Wilco, David Byrne with St. Vincent, The Lumineers, and The National.

R. Kelly will also be appearing. How much ‘Trapped In The Closet‘ songs can an audience handle in a festival setting I wonder?

One of the performers, Weird Al Yankovic, will be hosting the BONNAROO LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT MEGATHON
(aka BLAM!) live on YouTube February 19th, which will give further details (including artists not shown on the poster), followed by a retrospective of performances from past festivals.

Daniel Tosh also hosted a brief promo for the Bonnaroo festival as well.

Bonnaroo will be held this year from June 13th-16th.

Thus far, it looks like a good year of festivals. Check out the lineups for Coachella, Primavera Sound and SXSW.
