Afghan Whigs Announce ‘Gentlemen’ 21st Anniversary Reissue: Group’s seminal album gets deluxe release from Rhino Records with ‘Gentleman at 21’.
It’s been a big year for the Afghan Whigs. They released their excellent comeback album Do To The Beast and played a killer Coachella set. Their U.S. tour kicks off on Wednesday. And today they revealed they’re releasing a 21st anniversary deluxe reissue of their dark 90’s masterpiece Gentlemen through Rhino Records.

The Gentleman at 21 reissue will be released on October 28th on vinyl, CD, and digital format. The two-disc set will feature a remaster of the original album, demos, and live versions of tracks including What Jail Is Like.
The band will celebrate the anniversary by playing a Brooklyn show on October 5th (the album’s original release was 10/5/93), priced at $21.
Frontman Greg Dulli discussed the reissue in Billboard: (Bassist) John [Curley] was heavily involved and we dug up and remastered the demos…We got Jeff Powell, who engineered the original record, to cut the vinyl. This was kind of a family affair, a lot of the folks who were there when we did it were involved in doing this. That was a really cool process.
