Faith No More Debut 2 New Songs at Hyde Park Concert

Back in May, Faith No More hinted that they were working on new material, and FNM fans, time to flip out; the band (clad in matching priest outfits) debuted two new tracks at their July 4th Hyde Park concert in London, where they played with Soundgarden and Black Sabbath.

No titles were given, but the first track (which you can hear below) has a clear chanted refrain of “Get the motherfucker on the phone” with singer Mike Patton blazing, melodic soulful vocals about “my lover!”

Check it out:

The second new track is much more aggressive, recalling their underrated album “King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime”, (with the possible title of “Superhero?”) where in-between Patton’s shrieks he intones “leader of man” amidst some moody keyboards from Roddy Bottum.

Listen to 2nd untitled track below:

Quite simply, this news is HUGE for Faith No More addicts like myself. It’s been 17 years since the band’s last album “Album Of The Year”, and given the band’s reunion appeared to be short-lived, this feels like an event that was never going to happen…until now.
