David Bowie Reveals New Song ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’

David Bowie premieres ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’ in advance of upcoming 3-disc compilation.

David Bowie is set to release his greatest hits/rarities collection Nothing Has Changed on November 17th. And he offered a teaser, premiering  new song ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’ on BBC’s Radio 6 program.

While this is a new track, it sounds decidedly old-school, drenched in acidic jazz funk that wouldn’t be out-of-place on ‘Diamond Dogs.’ The 7-minute opus was recorded with composer Maria Schneider and 17-piece band. The lyrics paint a dark picture of a morbidly doomed romance. The composition is decidedly layered, avant-garde and ambition in a way that only Bowie can deliver without descending into chaos.

The track will be issued on 7-inch vinyl and digital download on the same day as the compilation. Below is the full ‘Nothing Has Changed’ track-listing for the 3-Disc edition, along with Amazon  links for pre-order:
